What is the Nomura Organization?

 Nomura is a global investment bank and asset management firm with a large presence in Japan, Asia, and other key countries. It was founded in 1879. They seek to create long-term value for their stakeholders by establishing three core businesses: Investment Banking, Institutional Client Group, and Asset Management. Acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic alliances have helped us expand their footprint in recent years, including acquiring a majority stake in Investcorp (2014), forming an equity capital markets joint venture with BNP Paribas (2013), and expanding their operations in the Americas through the acquisition of Guggenheim Partners LLC (2011). Nomura employs almost 17,000 people.
