What is the Georgia Power Organization?
Georgia Power, a subsidiary of Southern Company and the state's major electric company, was founded in 1998. It serves a population of about 10 million people in all but four of Georgia's 159 counties. Its service area covers around 59,000 square miles, or over 90% of Georgia's geographical mass.
