What is the Marta Organization?
MARTA is Georgia's largest transportation agency and the ninth largest public transportation system in the United States. Every workday, they transport over 430,000 passengers by bus, rail, and paratransit. MARTA has a fleet of over 1,500 buses, including the country's cleanest natural gas fleet. With 44 miles of track and 38 railcars, MARTA rail serves 68 stations in four counties. With an average everyday traffic of more than 350,000 passengers on its heavy rail trains alone, MARTA is one of the nation's greatest rapid transit systems.
