What is the Mediacom Organization?
Mediacom is fifth largest cable television provider in the United States, based on the number of video subscribers, and among the leading cable operators focused on serving smaller cities and towns. Mediacom Communications Corporation was founded in 1995 by Rocco B. Commisso and with headquartered in New York and incorporated in Delaware. Mediacom Communications Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Mediacom Enterprises, uses a combination of fiber optic and coaxial cable to provide cable television and other services in 28 states. Local broadcast stations, national networks, and other popular channels are available through the company's video service. Mediacom also provides high-speed Internet and digital telephone services to both home and commercial users. As of December 31, 2014, Mediacom had 2.5 million subscribers, making it the sixth largest cable operator in the United States.
