What is the The PGA Tour Organization?

The PGA Tour is a series of over 90 tournaments held annually all over the world, all of which are sanctioned by the PGA Tour. It is a non-profit organization based in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, a Jacksonville suburb. The tour, which began 88 years ago in 1929, is mostly active in the United States, but it also runs abroad, with a focus on four events in Asia. Outside of soccer, the tour has more matches throughout the year than any other professional sports league in the world. The PGA Tour's success at the top level of competition has guaranteed that the sport receives enormous media attention around the world. Since 1952, the tour has been televised under a variety of titles.
